Swapped out my iPhone last night for a replacement. The screen on my first one wasn’t flush with the bezel, especially on the top edge. Apple took it back with no questions; hopefully the replacement doesn’t have other problems. Restoring from my last backup took a while but went very smoothly.
While I was waiting a customer was complaining about the usual 3G problems -- dropped calls, inability to load web pages. He had replaced his phone in the hopes that things would be better. He was rather disappointed that it was more of the same. I wonder whether Apple just replaces the phones instead of breaking it to them that the iPhone and AT&T’s 3G network are still going through teething problems.
